High Country Alternative Agriculture Conference
February 2nd, 1-5 PM The NC Cooperative Extension Service will host the High Country Alternative Agriculture Conference on February 2nd from 1-5 PM at the Main Campus of Mayland Community College in Spruce Pine. Topics will include: hops and grape production considerations, bramble production basics and marketing options, strawberry plug production and promising day-neutral varieties, livestock start-up considerations and keys to marketing success, forest products with potential, and organic production/marketing opportunities. Speakers will include local farmers, small business owners, university specialists, researchers and Extension Agents.
